Not the Normal Networks

Not the Normal Networks

As part of the Economic and Social Research Council’s Festival of Social Science 2017, The University of Birmingham and the REP Theatre hosted a collaborative morning seminar focusing on women’s experiences of networking, and the strategies that are used to unlock the potential that women in leadership can contribute to the economy.

Berwick Partner’s Head of Education, Liz James, was a member of a discussion panel that offered insight into how they built their networks and the opportunities and challenges they have faced in doing this. The morning’s activities were chaired by Helga Henry, Director of Organisational Development at Birmingham Hippodrome and author of the book “Networkability – Building your Business One Relationship at a Time”, and featured an interactive theatre workshop designed to enable a rethinking of traditional and often un-inspiring women’s events.
