Berwick Partners & Best Companies host London HR Director Breakfast

Best Companies’ Managing Partner, Wayne Clark, joined Berwick Partners and a number of senior HR Directors for Breakfast at the fashionable Soho Hotel, London on Tuesday 1st May.

Over the last five years Best Companies have surveyed more than two million people in 4,000 companies in 20 countries to create the Sunday Times “Best Companies” Top 100 companies to work for lists.

For those who haven’t seen Wayne present – he is very good. Naturally engaging, enthusiastic and knowledgeable; this is his space and he loves it!

The question that Wayne really answered during his forty minute presentation was: “What Do Winning Companies Do?”

  1. They build great management teams and embody a great future
  2. The employees have faith in the people leading the business; they will be visible, they will communicate and they will be available
  3. They recruit and select for the culture of the organisation; either the one they have or the one they are trying to create
  4. Employees will be excited about the future of the organisation, they know where they are going and they will be inspired by the team leading them
  5. They have fun!!

In recognition of his influence, Wayne has been appointed as an Advisor on Culture to the FA; he is being tasked with creating a “winning team” environment!! We wish him luck!
