The SPECIALIST Recruiter

As the recruitment market gathers pace, specialisation matters more than ever. Long gone are the days of a generalist approach to Search and never has it been more critical that our Consultants develop their expertise in functional verticals or industry markets to deliver the best quality of service to our clients. Specialisation allows our Consultants to look deeper into and pay closer attention to a client company’s strategy and to truly understand the behaviours and values needed in a senior executive hire.

Specialisation also leads to a far more enjoyable career as a ‘Head-Hunter’; you build better quality relationships, benefit from repeat business and add value through the process. And it goes without saying that sharing insights and market intelligence leads to greater job satisfaction. Our most successful Consultants are those who have established a niche within a specialisation.

I have recently moved from client side recruitment to in-house recruitment. Hiring great talent to work for Berwick Partners is a tough gig. Whilst previous successes are important; accounts and relationships, knowledge and expertise critical; it is the ability to get close to a client and become a trusted advisor that is the hardest asset to find. Having an informed opinion about the market in which you operate is key to achieving this.

We have a number of openings across our functional and sector teams and we are interested in talking to Consultants who believe in specialisation as we do.

Current vacancies:

Head of Practice – HR

Consultant – Transportation

Consultant – Health

Consultant – Local/Central Government

Consultant – Procurement & Supply Chain

Please do not hesitate to contact me Debbie Sutton if you are interested in any of the above opportunities.
