Technology Director, Up to £120,000 plus bonus, Car & Package, London

As a global leader in the manufacture and supply of fire safety testing systems, this organisation is embracing technology as a critical enabler at the heart of their next generation of products. This global business is developing new interconnected products embracing the Cloud, Internet of Things, supported by app and portal-based services.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Technology Director to shape, deliver and evolve new digitally enabled products for this global market leader. With a depth of software led product design, you will develop, deliver and implement a complex portfolio of integrated software and hardware products and services;

• Reporting to the CEO you will help define the road map for the digital products and work closely with the leadership team to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of product delivery.
• Through effective prioritisation, and collaboration between software and hardware engineering teams the Technology Director will drive a consistent schedule of new digital & technology-based product releases and development.
• You will be at the forefront of managing the successful delivery of minimum viable product, as well as sustainable pipeline of client specific product development through careful commercial prioritisation and expectation management of internal and external stakeholders.
• The Technology Director will own, lead and manage all product (digital, software and hardware) development and delivery resources. Delivery excellence, and a relentless focus upon delivery of market ready products is critical to success.

You will have a demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo while maintaining a commercially pragmatic approach to the application of digital propositions to a legacy electro-mechanical product development environment. You will thrive in a highly collaborative and growth led environment and be able to nurture creativity while driving a consistent pipeline of high quality, safety critical products to a global customer base.
