Programme Director – Temple Quarter, Bristol, West of England Combined Authority - Bristol/Agile - c£140k plus package

The West of England is a fantastic place to live, work and invest in; where ideas flourish and businesses grow, and a diverse population calls home. With a highly-skilled workforce, innovative businesses, rich cultural and natural assets, with excellent digital and physical connectivity, the West of England competes on a global scale.

Temple Quarter is a transformative programme which will galvanise the economic, physical and social renaissance of Bristol, from already strong foundations. Sited at the heart of the City, Temple Quarter is one of the most significant and ambitious urban regeneration schemes in the UK. It will realise 10,000 new homes, 22,000 new jobs and deliver £1.6bn sustainable and inclusive economic growth per year for the City. Centred on Bristol Temple Meads Station, it will ensure Bristol remains a thriving, successful and innovative place for future generations, an attractive gateway to the West Country and reaffirm global ambition and reach.

As Programme Director, you will spearhead the planning and delivery of Temple Quarter. You’ll build and lead a committed and high-calibre, multi-disciplinary team turning this ambitious vision into reality. Accountable to the Partnership Board, you will thrive in this leadership role where your focus and grip will yield tangible improvements for the people, communities and businesses in the City now and for the future. As a strategic leader with strong programme delivery experience you will engage and communicate effectively with a diverse and complex stakeholder community, taking others on that journey.

You will draw upon a clear track record of managing and delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure and development projects in multi-stakeholder environments. Whilst appreciating the regional and national policy context you will have commercial nous and political acumen to achieve cut-through and progress. You’ll have reconciled conflicting and competing priorities, developed, brokered and managed relationships and provided clarity to ensure successful delivery. As an inspiring leader, you will become a trusted and influential voice for the City and its future prosperity.
