Director of Corporate Services – The Royal Parks – Hyde Park, London - Salary: Competitive

The Royal Parks is a charity which manages over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats, historic buildings, and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These include Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park. We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other public spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with c.77 million visits every year. 


The Role

As Director of Corporate Services, you will support the Chief Executive with the delivery of the Charity’s five-year Strategic Plan. Leading the business support functions that enable TRP to deliver our strategy and plan including Programme Office, ICT, Procurement and business continuity, and working with your fellow Directors, you will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the delivery of the charity’s strategy through the supporting operational plans. You will drive change holistically, considering impacts across all functions within the charity. 


The Candidate

·      Significant change management experience. Demonstrate highly developed business planning, financial and project management skills with experience of creating effective plans that deliver change and to monitor and control projects and programmes.

·      Strong leadership skills and experience of leading and developing a cross-functional directorate to great effect.

·      Experience of building productive and constructive relationships with Trustees, senior and other colleagues across an organisation and with external stakeholders.

·      Adept at both operational and strategic leadership. The ability to work strategically, whilst also being able to perform a hands-on role as required.
