Head of Product - Converge - Location: Blackfriars, London

Converge are on a mission to deliver the first physical intelligence platform to revolutionise the construction industry globally. Through harnessing data and digitising the traditional construction sector, Converge provide their customers with technical solutions to significantly increase efficiency and safety, whilst minimising their costs of construction. Converge’s solutions also offer huge environment and sustainability benefits through enabling fewer wasted resources, within a sector accounting for 11% of CO2 and half of non-renewable resources.

Converge have a highly skilled, diverse and innovative team of 30+ people, and are now looking for a Head of Product to lead their small dynamic product team. The role will be market facing, taking ownership for the entire product cycle and acting as a bridge between the technology and commercial arm of the business. It will also report directly to the CEO, and face into the wider business as part of the senior management team.

The Role

• Will be responsible for delivering the full product strategy - have ownership for new and existing products from start to finish; managing customer experience (including writing user stories), develop business cases and value propositions, build out and launch of all products, as well as ensuring successful customer adoption.
• Be confident and articulate with clients and customers, championing their interests and expectations, and then relaying that into product strategy/development to deliver positive user experience.
• Be able to understand and communicate the technology, whilst making data driven decisions.
• Enhancing innovation and creativity at Converge and mentor and grow the product team, promoting innovation and creation within the function.
• Collaborate with other functions, such as commercial, finance and technology, and act as a bridge between them to develop growth and product strategies.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be/have:

•  A proven product management leader, preferably with experience within a SaaS or SME environment.
• Experience in creating, driving and developing complex technical products from start to release and adoption.
• Ability to understand data and technology to underpin product decisions, which both meets customer demand and aligns with company mission and vision.
• Experience balancing multiple leadership priorities (including the development of members of the product team), product development and customer relations.
• The communication and interpersonal skills to work with, a large variety of stakeholders, internal team members and customers.
• Humility and be a team player - able to pick up additional responsibilities when needed and hit the ground running.
