Director of Digital & Change - Alliance Homes - South West/ Portishead – Circa. £100,000

Reporting to the Chief Executive, this critical opportunity is fundamental to shape and deliver Digital, IT, and Change across the organisation. The Director of Digital & Change will drive the execution of the digital agenda. Owning and leading the IT and Data functions, the Director of Digital & Change will provide strategic influence across the organisation to implement new and improved digital ways of working as well as a truly customer-centric service.

Alliance Homes own and manage around 6,500 homes, employ 500 staff, and have an annual turnover of £43 million. They are a community based social housing, care & support services provider operating in the West of England with a clear purpose of helping people get the most out of life.

As an integral part of the strategic leadership team this vital role will provide focused leadership to customer centric digital delivery, digital strategy and data led operational improvement. Ensuring that IT remains a critical enabler, this role will be able to effectively engage with colleagues at all levels moving seamlessly between strategy, change and operational delivery.

The Role

  • As a trusted partner, provide senior leadership across the organisation, proactively identifying opportunities to deliver great customer service, through evolving our digital, information, customer insights and change services.
  • Work with senior stakeholders from across the business to inspire, shape and deliver the digital strategy & vision, ensuring new systems, processes and customer offerings are successfully launched and adopted.
  • Drive shape and lead all digital & change projects and initiatives from strategy through to execution. Embracing digital to deliver enhanced solutions and business insight to optimise operational effectiveness for employees and to create seamless customer focused processes and services.


The Candidate

  • An impactful digital and IT enabled change delivery leader. Exceptional engagement and drive to shape strategy and delivery at every level. An enthusiastic, challenging and collaborative style able to stimulate innovation for new digital & data led initiatives.
  • A demonstrable track record of full lifecycle IT & digital delivery ownership in support of continuous improvement and structured change. A proven agile leader of digital & technology teams with strong people skills and the ability to quickly form effective delivery teams.
  • A digital pragmatist and valuable contributor both within IT and the business. Able to drive organisational change at every level, while maintaining a strategic view from vision through to delivery at pace.
