Traverse seek to recruit a Director of Market Development, who will work closely with a talented team of sector and service experts, assisting them develop, grow and evolve their business areas.

Sitting as part of a senior leadership team this individual will provide a holistic and strategic oversight to business development and marketing and communications activity across the Traverse business, the sectors it serves and the services it delivers working closely with a team of nine Associate Directors and a marketing and business development team.

Our work only has an impact if people are aware of it. We are looking for someone who can help us shape compelling narrative. We are known for the quality of our project work, and we expect the same for our marketing and communications. We are looking for someone who can tell a good story, consistently, across all our channels.
Organised and proactive:
You’ll be working in a busy consultancy with a matrix management model. You’ll have your own priorities to develop and deliver a marketing plan, alongside supporting the ambitions of our work winning teams. You’ll need to keep on top of your work and prioritise effectively.
Individuals will bring an extensive track record in marketing, business development, client service and sales. That experience may have been gained in a social or market research or professional services environment, but the level of challenge and ambition in the business means that there is also comfort with candidates who may come from outside the sector.
