Last summer we opened the spectacular new Clatterbridge Cancer Centre – Liverpool, our flagship hospital in the heart of the city’s Knowledge Quarter, right next to Royal Liverpool University Hospital and the University of Liverpool. It brings specialist cancer care even closer to the communities we serve, especially those most in need, and has transformed the way we work. Our new Trust Headquarters opens this May in The Spine, one of Knowledge Quarter Liverpool’s most iconic developments.
Now we’re looking for an exceptional individual who shares our values, energy and commitment to patient care as you lead our nurses, AHPs and quality agenda.
Our new five-year strategic plan (2021-25) sets out our goals for the next stage of our journey – and you’ll play a vitally important role in helping to achieve them, as well as leading, motivating and further developing our fantastic team of nurses and AHPs, including therapeutic and diagnostic radiographers.
You may already have experience at Board level or be looking for your first role as Chief Nurse. Whatever your current position, you’ll have a compelling vision and the ability to provide visible and inspiring leadership and to embed superb quality and top-rate clinical governance in every aspect of patient care.
As you’d expect for a role of this kind, you’ll need the ability to work in an exceptionally fast-paced and demanding environment, balancing multiple work programmes and competing priorities. You’ll also need a highly collaborative approach, excellent communication and influencing skills, resilience, and the ability to work through obstacles and find effective solutions. Partnership and relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders will be key to your success.
