Regional Director, North East - City & County Healthcare - Home based with regional travel - Competitive Salary

We are looking to make a senior addition to our existing regional operations team. We are open to considering those outside the healthcare sector who can demonstrate good operational leadership, strategic thinking and a desire to support the vulnerable in our society.

The Role

In line with this ambition, we are looking for an energetic and forward-looking Regional Director to lead our services in the North East. This role will be accountable for the delivery of the entire service offering within the North East area which includes Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, Durham, Cleveland and North Yorkshire and currently provides 40,000 hours of care.

The key responsibilities that fall under the direction and management of this role are as follows:

• Bring clear leadership to the regional teams with a coaching style, promoting best practice and focusing on the provision of quality led services
• Create strong relationships with our clients including regional commissioners, local authorities, private clients and housing associations
• Work strategically to ensure the region meets all financial, operational, quality and compliance targets by identifying areas for growth and efficiency
• Work across the organisation with central teams including HR, finance, IT and bid teams as well as with operational peers

The Candidate

We are looking for the following attributes for this role:

• A strong operational background at Director level with extensive experience of strategic and operational management
• Proven track record in building and developing teams through creative and dynamic leadership
• Experience of managing a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership, as well as the capability to influence and directly engage stakeholders to achieve change
• A desire to better our services and keep our clients’ needs at the core of their decision-making
• Self-aware, appropriately confident, strong under pressure, resilient
