The Director will lead and develop SOAS’ strategy across the full range of Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions activity in support of the School’s Vision and Strategy. She/he will provide inspiring leadership on marketing the School’s offer, increasing the quantity, quality and diversity of the student body and the development of our brand positioning as a distinct leader in the international HE sector. The Director will build positive, effective working relationships across the School, and will be responsible for developing a ‘best in sector’ Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions function.

SOAS are seeking a leader with substantial and proven experience of developing and delivering innovation and results across the full spectrum of activity for this remit. You will have an excellent understanding of the UK Higher Education sector, as well as knowledge of international markets and advancements in digital marketing. The Director of Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions will also have excellent staff leadership and people management skills, the capability to manage relationships at a senior level, and the ability to influence and persuade senior colleagues.
