The Law School is one of four departments sitting within Huddersfield Business School, a forward-thinking entity that provides exceptional outcomes from both a teaching and research perspective. The Law School is a lively academic community that combines both practical and academic opportunities to a diverse student cohort. As well as an established curriculum, there is emergent post-graduate provision and plentiful opportunity to create interdisciplinary courses with colleagues from other parts of Huddersfield Business School. As with other parts of the University, the Law School’s research profile is growing strongly and high quality outputs are developing quickly.

The post of Professor and Head of the Law School is a unique opportunity for an experienced academic leader to join Huddersfield Business School. The appointee will have a solid research profile as well as a genuine passion for the student experience. The Department’s performance is strong, but the context of higher education is ever-changing and the University of Huddersfield has earned a reputation for staying ahead of that curve in order to best meet the expectations of its students, staff and partners. The Law School and Huddersfield Business School’s involvement in this exciting agenda has been key to the University’s success and it is fully anticipated that the new Head of Department will play a significant role in the onwards journey.
