Salary up to £120,000 + bonus + package

The CLA has revenues of £86m and 110 staff, reporting to the CEO, CTO will be responsible for a budget of 3.2m and a department size of 30 staff. The CTO will ensure that CLA has the appropriate technology strategy, infrastructure, partnerships and skills to support the commercial and broader organisational objectives. Technology has a critical contribution to make in delivering enhanced customer and operational data and insights, enhanced digital interaction and service delivery. CLA are seeking to appoint a creative, experienced, board level technology leader to deliver coherent continual technology improvement and change across a diverse portfolio of platforms, products and services.

The Role:

•   Define, develop and deliver the organisation’s technology strategy ensuring alignment of technology vision and business strategy; linking processes with the delivery of key digital products and services as well as the management of the enabling IT operations and infrastructure.
•  As a member of the senior leadership team (SLT), the CTO will lead the ongoing delivery of technology enabled digital transformation and in partnership with SLT to further advance the use and exploitation of digital platforms and data to generate customer, Member and operational advantage.
• Accountable for the development and maintenance of the firm’s technology investments, the CTO will champion continuous improvement to all technology delivery teams, partners and live operations, alike.

The Person:

• This is a director-level technology leadership and management role. You will support significant digital transformation and drive new thinking and innovation, digital transformation and data led thinking.
•   A commercially minded technology leader you will bring demonstrable experience of leading critical technology change and business improvement. A proven team manager with strong leadership skills, you will motivate, coach and develop an established team in the delivery of robust, continuously improved technology products and services.
• A natural influencer and communicator with the ability to implement pragmatic governance, planning and controls into an organisation through to successful project and operational delivery. Excellent engagement skills will support your ability to share the technology vision and take people on the journey in its delivery across the business.
